Assessing Freshlife Container Based Sanitation in Kafue, Zambia

We’re proud to be supporting the assessment of the Fresh Life Container Based Sanitation pilot in Kafue, a KfW-funded pilot project co-implemented by Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company and Fresh Life.

This assessment focuses on user acceptance, community dynamics, affordability, operational safety, and robustness with the goal of delivering inclusive and sustainable sanitation solutions in vulnerable communities.

CaDev_Catalyst Development is working alongside Fresh Life and Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company (LWSC) to assess user experience, understand social drivers of adoption, strengthen operations, and develop a model that can be scaled responsibly while protecting public health and groundwater resources.

This project is a critical step toward evidence based sanitation innovations that work for communities and institutions alike.
